Co-opting a Plausible Deism to Illegitimately Argue for an Incoherent Theism

This article explores the distinction between a deistic creator, who initiates the universe without intervention, and the anthropomorphic characteristics attributed to theistic gods by Christian and Muslim apologists. It argues that while evidence may support a deistic god, the leap to a specific theistic deity is logically flawed and lacks adequate justification.
